1.  Dell’Osso Farms in Lathrop, CA

Dell’Osso is by far one of the most fun pumpkin patches in Northern California.  Located in Lathrop, CA right off of Highway 5, it’s very convenient for almost everyone.  Dell’Osso has so much to offer the entire family.  It has a train ride, large pumpkin patch, haunted house, corn maze, pumpkin blasters, and a kid zone with a large bounce pillow, gem mining, and  face painting.  You can spend a whole day here and not get bored.  Word of caution, weekends get very busy and often times it takes at least 15-20 minutes to park.  Dell’Osso is open Daily from 10am to 8pm.  Costs: Free entrance and Parking.  Attraction Prices: CLICK HERE

2.  Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm in Wheatland, CA

Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm is a great place for smaller children and families.  Located in Wheatland, CA it is a bit of a drive, but it is worth it.  One of the best features is the tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch and they let you know where to locate small or huge pumpkins!  Additionally, they have slides, pig races, a petting zoo, pony rides, and a corn maze.  they also sell one of the best pumpkin pies I have ever tasted!  Cost: Free Admission  Parking Prices depend on the day you go.  Check them out here.  Attraction Prices: here

3.  Dave’s Pumpkin Patch in West Sacramento, CA

We went to Dave’s Pumpkin Patch for the first time last year because we bought a Living Social deal.  We were a little hesitant because of how we had to get there (not the easiest) but as soon as we arrived, our worries went away.  This pumpkin farm was so much fun for our son.  He got to play in a huge box of corn kernels, jump on a bounce pillow, and wander through a corn maze (we didn’t made it to the end).  They even have a haunted corn maze for the brave ones during evening hours.  Personally, I would only do this patch with a Living Social Deal or Groupon.  My son does not have the attention span for a long corn maze but loves the other activities.  While this patch is on the smaller side, we still have a great time when we go.  Cost for Cornival and Corn Maze: $20 for a family of 4 with Living Social or Monday -Friday $7.00 per person and Saturday -Sunday $12.00 per person. Parking is Free.

 

4.  Cool Patch Pumpkins in Dixon, CA

Cool Patch Pumpkins is famous for it’s incredible corn mazes.  It took us, without kids, 1.5 hours to get though.  So if your family likes getting lost, this is the farm to come to!!  It is more than just a corn maze, it has a kid zone with trikes and pedal cars, a mini corn maze, and a corn bath (corn kernals).  It also has a scarecrow contest where contestants can win money.  This patch is fun for the whole family.  Cool Patch Pumpkins is open 9am to 8pm Daily.  Prices: Corn Maze $12.00 Kid Zone $5.00 Hay Ride $3.00  Look for the famous Milk Farm landmark sign visible from Interstate Highway 80 between First St. and Pedrick Rd. in Dixon, Ca.

 

5.  Abel’s Apple Acres in Apple Hill, CA (near Placerville, CA)

Abel’s Apple Acres is just one farm of many in Apple Hill.  Located off of Highway 50 just east of Placerville, this is a day trip your family will love!  There are so many farms to explore and there is something for everyone.  Abel’s Apple Acres is worth mentioning because of it’s pumpkin patch, 500 bale hay maze for kids, apple donuts, and hot apple cider.  While Apple Hill is best known for apples, they do pumpkins just as good!  Abel’s Apple Acres is open Daily 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Cost: Free Admission Check out all the farms in Apple Hill while you are there!  I am sure you will make this an annual trip, like we have!
